Langtang Valley Trek is considered one of the most underrated treks in Nepal but it is in no way inferior in beauty to Annapurna or Everest Trek. In fact, the Langtang Valley trek is not as long and difficult as more popular routes and is perfect for exploring the Himalayas. The trek starts from the tropical jungle and ends with eternal glaciers. It will take place over the course of just ten days and the maximum altitudes will be 4000-5000 meters.
Along the Langtang Valley trek, we will visit the picturesque National Park of the same name which astonishes each of its guests with its amazing nature and maximum authenticity. We will also see some of the highest mountains in the world including Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Porong Ri, Yala Peak, Langtang Lirung, and Gangchempo.
We will get acquainted with the life of the local population of Tamang, Gurungs, and Sherpas who practice Tibetan Buddhism. Some Tamangs also practice Hinduism and Animism. These people rely on agriculture and animal husbandry for their income along with tourism as well.
Our 10-day Langtang Valley trek also allows us to feel complete solitude and walk along empty paths without crowds of people. We will be able to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Buddhism, enjoy the clearest starry sky, and breathe the fresh mountain air.
As a final cherry on the cake, we will climb the Tesrgo-Ri viewpoint at 5001m. and enjoy the greatest spectacle of Yala peaks, Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung, Naya Khang, and Gyanghempo.
We assure you that after taking part in our Langtang Valley trek, you will not return the same. The most incredible adventure of your life awaits you, full of vivid emotions, grandiose views, and powerful transformations. Here you will be a real traveler, not just a tourist. Come join us today and experience the inner peace.

The favorable time for the Langtang Valley trek runs from mid-September to the end of May. The monsoon rains begin to diminish in early September. The weather is normally consistent from mid-October to December, with temperate to warm days, cool nights, and clear vistas.
At low altitudes, daytime temperatures can exceed 25 degrees Celsius, but at higher altitudes, nighttime temperatures can drop below 5 degrees Celsius. At any time of the year, the weather in the Himalayas can be unpredictable. It is crucial to be prepared for any eventuality as unexpected storms and temperatures can occur.
Surrounded by the majestic mountains, the Langtang Valley emerges at an altitude of 3400 m above sea level. Just 61.8 km away from Kathmandu, the Langtang Valley trek needs only 7 to 10 days to complete. The journey begins with a 7-hour drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu.
The highest level of this trek is Kyanjun Gomba elevated at 3860 m above sea level. Spending a day at Kyanjin Gomba, you will have the opportunity to ascend the Tsergo Ri View point standing tall at 5001 m above sea level. Each day we will cover the distance of 6 to 7 km walking 5 to 6 hours daily.
The Langtang Valley trek offers a more relaxed experience on the less-crowded trail needing only 5 to 6 hours walk per day. After a 7-hour drive to Syabrubesi, the trek begins for the next 6 days.
On the fifth day of the trek, we walk from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gomba. We spend only 4 to 5 hours traversing the trail thus providing us enough time to walk on our gradual pace.
The next day, however, we climb the Tsergo Ri Viewpoint and explore the Kyanjin Gomba after returning walking 6 to 7 hours which is the toughest and longest walk of our Langtang Valley trek.
The difficulty level of the Langtang Valley trek is below average. In addition, we have designed our travel program with a well-thought-out rise in altitude, and all the necessary acclimatization excursions. We will spend a day of acclimatization on the sixth day by ascending the Tsergo Ri Viewpoint.
Additionally, you don’t need to be an athlete to complete this trek. It is enough to lead an active lifestyle or introduce activities into your life a few months before the track. There are no areas along the entire route where you will have to engage in mountaineering or rock climbing.
Absolutely! The Langtang Valley trek is one of the most accessible treks near Kathmandu Valley. However, good physical fitness along with the ability to walk for 5 to 6 hours a day is a must. This trek is the perfect opportunity for a short family vacation in the Himalayas of Nepal.
Along the route, each village has a fairly developed infrastructure, and guest houses with their own dining options. You almost always have a cozy common room, where the stove burns wonderfully and where you are served delicious meals.
All in all, the Langtang Valley trek is a wonderful and comfortable journey fit for even senior citizens.
You must like walking to do this trip. So go for a walk/jog to train your leg muscles in particular. You walk on average six hours a day on uneven terrain. So we suggest you spend a weekend in some low-altitude mountain nearby to learn how to walk uphill.
If that is not the case, you can still prepare by exercising 2 to 3 times a week (running, fitness, swimming, etc.) the last 2 months before your trip are ideal.
People in a normal condition who only exercise sporadically, but otherwise have a healthy lifestyle and do not suffer from obesity or joint problems often do not really need to prepare specifically for this trek.
Although not high altitude, you still will be above 3000 m for almost 4 days in our Langtang Valley Trek. And of course, the altitude will play tricks on you in this trek. The lack of oxygen makes it more difficult to walk and you have less energy.
Our guides are experienced and ensure that no risks are taken. Diamox is a medicine that you can take preventively and combat altitude sickness. Preventative measures against altitude sickness also include adequate hydration, slow movement, and proper acclimatization.
If you want to extend your Langtang Valley trek and wish to do something different, you can undertake the Langtang Circuit trek which needs around 17 days to complete. After spending a day of exploration in Kyanjin Gompa, you will then hike towards, Rimche, Thulo Syabru, Gosaikunda, Ghopte, Kutumsang, Chisapani, and back to Kathmandu via Sundarijal.
Adding the Helambu trek will be another favorable option where you will trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru, Sing Gompa, and Gosakiunda Lake. Then crossing the Laure Binayak La Pass, you return to Kathmandu via Melamchi Gaon.
Issues of accommodation, transportation, meals, planning and visiting the most interesting places, obtaining permits, and preparing equipment – we will take on the solution to these issues, and many others. Our task is to immerse you as much as possible in the unforgettable atmosphere of Nepal.
In our every package, we include all airport to hotel to airport land transportation via car, van, Hiace, or tourist bus (based on group size). You will drive to Syabrubesi and Syabrubesi to Kathmandu via the same mode of transportation.
In Kathmandu, every morning breakfast is included in our package excluding lunch and dinner. Throughout the trek, you will enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the tea house along the route.
We suggest you try Dal vat tarkari, and Thakali cuisine with Dhindo, Gundruk, Sel Roti, and Momo. Please try locally produced apple wine, and yak or goat cheese.
Upon arrival, you can purchase local SIM cards from NTC or NCELL mobile networks. We will help you with the purchase and activate the service. You will have constant communication in cities and along the route to the Langtang Valley.
Wi-fi will be available in all our overnight stays. You can also use the internet data package of NTC or NCELL in case of unavailability of WIFI services.
You can also easily charge your gadgets in the lodge room or dining area. The infrastructure of the tea house is pretty modern in the Langtang region.
But for all these services, you may have to pay an extra fee which is not included in our service.
Since we will be passing through the restricted zone of Langtang National Park, we need the National Park permit which costs approximately USD 30 per person.
TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) is also needed for the Langtang Valley trek which costs around USD 20 per person.
The service of obtaining permits along with its fees is included in our service.
