Overview Of Everest Base Camp Trek Heli Return from Pheriche (10 Days)

Trekking in the high Himalayas of Nepal is the ultimate adventure for trekkers all around the world. 8 out of the top 14 tallest peaks in the world are in Nepal, if that does not excite trekkers we are not sure what will. Among them, Mt. Everest is undoubtedly the most famous since it is the tallest peak stretching up to the height of 29,029 ft. Being the most popular peak, it attracts a lot of visitors and admirers who do not shy away from undertaking the Everest Base Camp trek(EBC trek)-Heli Return from Pheriche.

The Everest Base Camp (5364 m /17598ft) is a little settlement located at Khumbu Icefall’s base serving as a starting point for the Everest climb. Stretching for hundreds of meters over the Khumbu Glacier, this area is only accessible via a walking trail or helicopter ride. Since EBC is literally standing atop a moving glacier, you will not find any permanent housing structure; everyone up there is supposed to sleep in insulated tents.

Reaching the base of the top of the world is high enough for itself. The base camp is at an elevation of 5364 meters which makes it one of the highest trekking experiences in the world. Viewing the mighty Mt. Everest with your own eyes is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime moment where you are in complete awe that such a thing exists.

The longer you look at it, the more you get captivated. You truly feel tiny, and your problems seem very unworthy when you stand in front of this giant peak that is mesmerizing yet intimidating at the same time. This Everest Base Camp Trek is not a challenge that you need to conquer but rather a journey to conquer yourself. It’s a testament to your will, your strong adventure sense, and your capabilities.

Many people mistake the Everest Base Camp Trek to be easy since you do not actually have to summit the Everest peak, but that is not the case. The majority of the trekkers who have been to EBC say that they underestimated how challenging this trek would be.

To clear things up, the EBC trail is not that difficult; people with no technical trekking skills can go on this trek. What makes this trip difficult is the altitude. You will be spending 2 nights above 5000 meters elevation, and above the 4000 mark, you will be able to feel the difference in air as the oxygen thins out.

The freezing temperature paired with the exhaustion of walking snow-covered trail for days is really a challenge. It’s not that the trail is difficult; it’s these small things that add up to make it a challenge for the trekkers. With that being said, let’s go over the details of our Everest Base Camp Trek package.
